Its probably because your website was not optimized. What does “search engine optimized” mean?

Here is a short analogy:

So for best results, if you offer two services, even if they are related services, they should have separate pages on your website.

In addition to separating keywords per page, some Search Engine Optimization experts will put your keywords in your meta tag fields (hidden fields the search engines look for) but do not optimize the rest of your web page content. There are many other places the search engines look at to determine your keyword relevancy and your website needs to be optimized for all of them!

Search engines also look for hidden “alt” tags on links and image files and  how many times your keyword phrase was used like was it was used more in your headings or in the body.
